Want to work with us?
These days everybody talks about the worldwide recession. Companies close and stop investing, people lose their jobs, etc. etc. etc...you already know.
Well,
we're in good shape, we want to
create many new applications, and we want to
invest in people. Mobile computing is an ever growing market, and we're thrilled about what we could do with the right people. So,
we're hiring.
You would work in a young, small and dynamic environment (we're not, and don't want to be, a gray and sad megacorp), working on cool stuff.
We push our colleagues to be as active and participative as possible, and we value every idea for new projects (or for existing ones) they come up with.
Technologies we work with
Quite a lot, actually: PHP, Java, ASP.NET, AJAX,
Objective-C with Cocoa (of course) and more. We build iPhone applications, but BlackBerry and Nokia apps too, and modern AJAX websites/services as well. Of course, you're not required to know all of this stuff. Job offers which require that are laughable, we're the first to know. The more experience you have, the better...but what's most important is your
desire to learn, experience and face new challenges...and maybe have fun doing it.
Location
We do most of the development in
Bologna (Italy). However if you're not Italian we will consider you anyway, for special projects that can handled
remotely. Apply and we'll see...
Requirements:
- Good problem-solving attitude. We don't need code monkeys that can't think with their head.
- Good experience with one or two of the technologies and languages listed above.
Pluses:
- Demonstrable participation in open-source projects (any technology)
- Publications in programming-related magazines or websites
- A personal tech-related blog
- Good writing and public-speaking skills (we happen to hold trainings from time to time)
- Good written English
- Programming certifications are valued appropriately, even if concrete experience on the field is more important
Don't bother applying if:
- You don't actually have pleasure programming...it's a job and nothing else for you
- You land on a programming site only when searching for a pre-made routine for your current project
- You don't remember the last time you read a programming magazine or site because you wanted to learn something new
- You're a programmer only because you failed as a professional football player...and regret it every day!
